Recently, the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders received an appeal from members of the primary trade union organization of employees of “FOCUS LOGISTICS” LLC — workers of the “Kaleton” beach complex and the inclusive beach “Bezmez” in the city of Odesa, who are also veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, including those with disabilities acquired as a result of the war — requesting protection of the beach complex from forced liquidation. 

This facility provides ongoing free rehabilitation for veterans, persons with disabilities, children with special educational needs, and others. In particular, the complex serves as a source of employment for those who have no other adapted work opportunities — veterans with lost limbs. 

The All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine has sent a written appeal to the Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, the Chief of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, and the Commander of the Operational-Tactical Grouping “Odesa,” Colonel Valeriy Vodolazskyi, with a proposal to consolidate efforts and support the veterans who sacrificed their health for Ukraine.

Order to review the decision of the Executive Committee of the Odesa City Council regarding the future of the beach complex.

“Our response has always been, is, and will be swift and decisive when it comes to the infringement of the rights of defenders who sacrificed their health in the fight for Ukrainian independence. Through the consolidated efforts of the State, employers, and the Trade Union, we were able to protect the only inclusive beach in Ukraine and preserve jobs for veterans,” commented Serhiy Byzov.
