The All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine has launched a dedicated comprehensive veteran rehabilitation project. The project involves all medical institutions, rehabilitation centers, and private clinics that have signed Memorandums of Cooperation, as well as charitable and public organizations, individual medical workers, and specialists friendly to the Trade Union.

The veteran rehabilitation project “Turning Point” covers the full spectrum of physical and mental recovery for veterans—from surgical interventions to preventive massage. To participate in the program, it is necessary to fill out the form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdYzYB9tRs8ah0m9m1a4mNbZDWrEZ_9xrM11UB2ALg7O3P50g/viewform?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwMAHrRleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHi1iyfGLbrvEYH8dduW-uZZM9rNlvwXyg1F3oXsfNiIUhIApzbvWzPIbx9Y6_aem_OdPWy4B0Hn6m71roF-Vk5Abe sure to specify the area in which assistance is needed.

The project curator is trade union member Elmir Agayev—a person for whom rehabilitation has become a true calling. With a medical education and over seven years of experience working on the recovery of people after injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system, he has helped many patients return to a full life. His involvement in the “Turning Point” project is no coincidence—among his friends and comrades are those who have been defending Ukraine since 2014. Within the project, Elmir coordinates the entire assistance process—from consultations with doctors to escorting wounded soldiers for treatment and tracking the results of their rehabilitation.

“My goal is to ensure that every Defender of Ukraine’s sovereignty has a chance not only to survive but also to regain mobility, strength, and hope for the future. I feel a personal responsibility toward those who give their best years and health in the fight for the freedom of every inch of Ukrainian land,” Elmir comments.
