At Veterans HUB ODESA, a meeting took place between the veteran community of Odesa region and the families of fallen Heroes with the working group on issues of wounded veterans and social protection under the Inter-Factional Parliamentary Association “Protection of Wounded, Participants, and Veterans of the War and Their Families” in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The Odesa Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine joined the public dialogue with the authorities. Participants had the opportunity to openly share the challenges they face daily: issues of medical care and rehabilitation, housing provision, social benefits and pensions, as well as preserving the memory of the fallen.

Serhiy Bratchuk, Head of the Odesa Regional Organization of the Union, presented a number of proposals from the region’s veterans, which will be submitted to the parliament for further consideration.
“Our direct duty is to do everything possible to ensure that the voices of veterans are heard at the highest level. Each of them has given all their strength, health, and some even their lives for the country. Now the state must take care of them and their families,” emphasized Serhiy Bratchuk.
