In the capital, a solemn gathering of FPU members was held to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine – the largest national trade union association that has been defending the labor, social, and economic rights and interests of workers across various sectors for more than three decades. The event was also dedicated to the World Day for Decent Work, which is observed annually on October 7.

With a welcoming address to the participants, FPU Chairman Serhiy Bizov highlighted the important role of the trade union movement in the formation of independent Ukraine, in ensuring decent working conditions, social protection, and equal opportunities for all citizens. He also emphasized the new challenges faced by Ukrainian society today — particularly during the period of martial law, when the issues of protecting workers and supporting Ukraine’s defenders become especially significant.

The All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, which is a member of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, sincerely congratulates its colleagues on the anniversary and expresses gratitude for their joint work, support, and unity in the common cause of protecting workers and the defenders of the state.
