The All-Ukrainian Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Tournament was held at the Halychyna Sports Palace in Lviv in memory of fallen defender of Ukraine Andrii “Petrov” Harasym. From the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion, he voluntarily stood up to defend his Homeland and served in the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, demonstrating courage, dedication, and heroism.
More than 130 athletes from across Ukraine took part in the competition. Lviv Region was represented by four athletes from the sports and patriotic club “Shkval”. The team was coached by Oleksandr Pukshyn, a member of the Lviv Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the athletes achieved the following results:
- Zasynets Makar (weight category 52 kg) — 2nd place;
- Ostrivka Markiyan (weight category 67 kg) — 3rd place;
- Opatskyi Liubomyr (weight category 40 kg) — 4th place;
- Zolochivskyi Markiyan (weight category 52 kg) — 4th place.
