Today in Kyiv, an important event took place for the advancement of social dialogue and the consolidation of efforts between the state and trade unions aimed at protecting workers in the sector amid contemporary challenges, as well as supporting Ukrainian sports and youth policy.

The All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, Athletes, and Sector Employees became a co-signatory to the Sectoral Agreement between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Joint Representative Body of Sectoral Trade Unions in the fields of youth policy, physical culture and sports, and the promotion of Ukrainian national and civic identity for the period 2026–2031.
On behalf of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Agreement was signed by Minister Matvii Bidnyi. The trade union side was represented by Serhii Byzov, Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, Athletes, and Sector Employees, and Halyna Haiduk, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Culture Workers of Ukraine.

The Agreement outlines the key areas of cooperation between the state and trade unions in protecting the labor and socio-economic rights of employees, advancing youth policy, promoting physical culture and sports, and ensuring the stable operation of organizations of all forms of ownership.
The parties agreed to work jointly on improving economic and social development programs within the sector, ensuring adequate funding for sports and youth organizations, preventing unjustified job cuts, and safeguarding employees’ labor rights. The Agreement also places particular emphasis on supporting children’s and youth sports schools, fostering the development of youth and children's civic organizations, combating doping in sports, and protecting the interests of Ukrainian sports federations before international judicial and arbitration bodies.
Together, we are working for people, the development of the sector, and the future of Ukrainian sport.
