From August 22 to 24, on the occasion of Independence Day, the Championship of Ukraine in rowing on yawls took place in the city of Odesa with the participation of a team of trade union members from the Dnipro Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine.

The competition gathered a record number of participants: 32 teams from different regions of the country, including veterans and active-duty military personnel. For the first time in the history of Ukraine, two teams of children with developmental disabilities (autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome) took part in the championship. Our trade union members took an honorable 4th place in the overall standings and 2nd place in Category B (in the context of rowing, this refers to adaptive sports for veterans and military personnel who were injured during combat operations).
The sports event became an important occasion of comprehensive unity of Ukrainians and care for the physical health and spiritual recovery of veterans, as rowing on yawls contributes to the adaptation of Ukrainian warriors after injuries.
The All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine congratulates the Dnipro colleagues on receiving high awards at the Championship and wishes them further achievements!
