With the assistance and organization of Sofia Cherepanova, Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, Athletes and Workers of the Spheres, a group of trade unionists attended a 6-hour course in tactical medicine. This event was a great opportunity to deepen their knowledge of first aid in crisis situations, which is extremely important in times of war and constant threat to the lives of our defenders and civilians.

A group of 10 participants studied the system of rapid response to injuries in emergency situations, which includes such important aspects as tourniquet application, bleeding control, airway management and other key skills. The course was held at the Tactical Medicine Training Center ”KoLeSo”, which has all the conditions for realistic training.
This center provides first aid training for soldiers. It has theoretical and practical classroom facilities and simulation facilities at the training ground for practicing practical skills, and classes are taught by professional instructors with higher medical education.

Special attention was paid to practical training. An employee of the center used special effects to create situations as close as possible to real combat conditions. The room was equipped to simulate emergencies, which allowed participants to practice the use of turnstiles and bleeding control techniques under stress in real time.

“Thanks to such initiatives, people have the opportunity to learn how to save lives in the most difficult situations. This knowledge is not only valuable for military and medical professionals, but also for every citizen, as help at a critical moment can be crucial to saving lives“,- Sofia Cherepanova
