Today, an important event for the development of veteran policy and the system of social dialogue in Ukraine took place — a Sectoral Agreement for 2026–2031 was signed between the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Nataliia Kalmykova and Head of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine Serhii Byzov.

This document is the result of joint work and dialogue aimed at building a modern, fair, and effective system of support for war veterans, their families, and the employees who implement state veteran policy.

The Sectoral Agreement defines key priorities for the coming years, including:
— improving the level of social protection for veterans and their families;
— creating conditions for decent employment and professional adaptation;
— developing veteran entrepreneurship and programs supporting business initiatives;
— strengthening guarantees in the field of remuneration and preventing discrimination;
— implementing modern standards of occupational safety and psychological support;
— expanding social guarantees, compensation mechanisms, and health and rehabilitation programs.

This document is the result of joint work and dialogue aimed at building a modern, fair, and effective system of support for war veterans, their families, and the employees who implement state veteran policy.

This is not just a document. It is a step toward a more just, humane, and strong veteran policy, where respect for Defenders is supported by real guarantees and opportunities.
