For the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, the psychological resilience of people working with citizens in crisis situations is extremely important. By supporting these specialists, we strengthen the entire social protection system.
Recently, members of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Organization of the Trade Union conducted a psychological training for specialists of the Dnipro Regional Employment Service in Kryvyi Rih. The event aimed to strengthen the psychological support of social sector employees who work daily with people under conditions of war and socio-economic instability. The training was led by experienced psychologists and Trade Union members Svitlana Timofieieva and Olena Kuptsova.

The main goal of the training was to support employment center specialists in handling the daily challenges faced by the population. During the sessions, participants discussed the topic “How Society Welcomes a Veteran,” covering communication with people returning from war, sensitive and safe conversation topics, potential reactions, and signals indicating when to refer someone to mental health professionals.

The participants actively engaged in discussions, shared their own experiences, and demonstrated a high level of professionalism. At the end of the training, they noted that the knowledge and practical tools they received would be applied in their future work.
We will continue to initiate similar events, as supporting specialists is an investment in the resilience of communities and the future of Ukraine.
