Active participation in community life, development of dialogue with local authorities, and protection of the interests of Ukraine’s defenders are among the important areas of activity of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine. That is why members of the Trade Union join the work of advisory bodies, where they have the opportunity to participate in shaping decisions that are important for the development of communities.

In Mykolaiv, the constituent meeting to form the new composition of the Expert and Public Council under the Executive Committee of the Mykolaiv City Council took place. Following the results of the ranking vote, Oleksandr Rusnak, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, was elected as a member of the Council.

The Expert and Public Council is designed to ensure interaction between the city authorities and the public, engage civil society institutions in discussing current issues, and develop proposals for the city’s development. The new composition of this advisory body includes 25 representatives of civil society institutions working in various areas of community life.

The All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine sincerely congratulates Oleksandr Rusnak on his election to the Expert and Public Council and wishes him productive work, constructive cooperation, and successful implementation of initiatives aimed at the development of Mykolaiv, support for Ukraine’s defenders, and strengthening civil society.
