The Open Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship dedicated to the memory of fallen Ukrainian Ground Forces soldiers concluded in Kyiv.
The competition was not only a spectacular sporting event but also a deeply symbolic patriotic occasion. The tournament brought together athletes, coaches, and spectators around a shared goal — honoring the Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence. On the tatami, athletes demonstrated high skill, physical endurance, and strength of spirit, proving that Ukrainian youth are growing strong, determined, and conscious.
Roman, a member of the Lviv Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, participated in the event. As a result of the sparring matches, he earned an honorable third place in his category: full contact, up to 90 kg.
