The All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine cares not only about the social protection of warriors but also about their inner resilience and inspiration, as the restoration of spiritual strength and moral endurance is an integral part of the fight for freedom.
Last time, books by the contemporary Ukrainian writer and defender Serhiy Demchuk, donated to the Union for the warriors, were lost due to the seizure of the Trade Union House by the national agency ARMA. Each copy was signed by the author, making the gift especially valuable. Thanks to the initiative of the Deputy Chair of the Union, Sofiya Cherepanova, this lost cultural treasure has been restored.

Recently, Serhiy handed over 14 copies of his novel “Interseason” to the Union — a thrilling story about the lives of football fans between championships. The book, full of the spirit of freedom and struggle, is sure to resonate with the hearts of those who are defending Ukraine today.
“For the Union, such initiatives are not just cultural support. They are a way to restore what was lost and give warriors a sense of connection to the great Ukrainian culture. Even in the hardest times, a book provides strength and reminds us that the fight continues not only on the battlefield but also on the cultural front,” emphasizes Sofiya Cherepanova.
