Andriy Madzharov, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war and a member of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, has already completed 760 km of his 1,500 km trek from the Polish-Ukrainian border to the heart of Europe \u2014 the city of Brussels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of today, the Defender has reached Germany. However, his journey continues, symbolizing unity and hope for cooperation between the communities of Ukraine and Europe. One of the socially important issues highlighted during Andriy\u2019s trek is the support of defenders of Ukrainian independence who have lost their physical and mental health fighting against Russian invaders.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cEvery step I take is a reminder to the world of my wounded brothers and sisters. They need our support, and I want Europe to see that Ukrainian servicemen and women deserve modern, comprehensive rehabilitation \u2014 both physical and mental,\u201d urges the soldier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Andriy, fully functional rehabilitation centers for Ukrainian and European veterans could be established based on the sanatorium and resort facilities that are part of the property complex of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine. Many of these facilities have convenient locations, developed infrastructure, therapeutic natural resources, and more. Unfortunately, today these centers are under threat due to illegal property seizures.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cThis is not just a blow to veterans, but also to workers\u2019 rights and the values of democracy. We must protect our sanatorium and rehabilitation centers, which provide Ukrainian soldiers with a second chance at a full life after returning from the front,\u201d emphasizes Andriy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Defender continues his journey to Brussels, inspiring both the world and Ukrainian society. His trek is a story of courage, faith, and brotherhood, showing that even a single step can become a symbol of a great cause. We are with you, brother!<\/p>\n\n\n
