Russian-Ukrainian war veteran and member of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, Andriy Madzharov, continues his 1,500 km walking march through Europe from Poland to Belgium. With a backpack weighing over 20 kg on his shoulders, he has already covered more than 350 km of the total distance.

In today’s video message from the road, the Defender emphasized that one of the main reasons for undertaking this difficult march was the situation with the raider seizure of the property complex of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine by the ARMY. According to Andriy, he intends to visit the headquarters of the European Public Service Union (EPSU), which, like many other European organizations, is located in Brussels.

"As a member of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, my goal is to reach out to the civilized world and gain its political support in the fight for trade union property, which rightfully belongs EXCLUSIVELY to TRADE UNION MEMBERS. The trade union buildings (the Trade Union House and the October Palace in Kyiv — author’s note) have been under occupation by ARMA for over three months and have not yet been returned to their owners. This has effectively paralyzed the full operation of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine (FPU), with employees unable to access their workplaces for more than three months! Who does this organization serve, and why, during the war with Russia, has it illegally stopped the work of those who are working for Victory, supporting the front, and integrating veterans into peaceful life after injuries — remains an open question. This is a threat to the civilization of Ukraine because trade unions are the backbone of democracy, both in the USA and the EU," Andriy says emotionally.

The All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine expresses sincere gratitude to the Defender for his invaluable support, which gives strength to keep going and work even harder for the benefit of Ukraine’s loyal warriors. Only forward!
