Members of the Ukrainian Parliament supported the trade union action on Independence Square, firmly condemning illegal actions against the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine and discrediting statements regarding members of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine.

The deputies demanded an end to the lawlessness and the return of the building to its lawful owner, emphasizing that trade unions are not just the name of an organization, but a social institution in society that defends the rights of working people.
In particular, the deputies drew attention to the fact that in recent years there has been a “systematic destruction of the genuine trade union movement and its replacement with pocket, hastily created trade union structures".
