“Participation in this event was an important step for the Trade Union in strengthening cooperation between the veteran community, women’s leadership, business, and government for the restoration and sustainable development of Ukraine. The summit clearly demonstrated that modern women’s leadership is not about conventions, but about inner resilience, responsible decision-making, and effective partnerships,” said Yuliia Zak, an activist of the Women’s Wing of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, who took part in the event.

The partner zones of the summit offered particular value. The Academy of Psychological Education of Ukraine presented a stand with innovative psychological literature for people living in the crisis realities of war, including veterans. The zone of a separate unit of BSPP “Typhoon” gave participants the opportunity to practice drone operation. The LITA Reproductive Medicine Clinic addressed the important issue of preserving women’s reproductive health during the war, when many are forced to postpone motherhood due to service, separation, and constant stress.

“It is worth noting that one of the main organizers of the event was Oksana Palagecha, an activist of the Trade Union’s Women’s Wing, expert, and grant writer. Supporting women’s leadership, the veteran community, and creating effective partnerships is an integral part of our work. It is through the unification of efforts that a strong, resilient, and responsible future for Ukraine is being shaped,” emphasized Sofiia Cherepanova, Deputy Head of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine and leader of the Women’s Wing.
