An important meeting with representatives of the Danish Trade Union Development Agency took place at the Mykolaiv City Center for Support of War Veterans, with the participation of Deputy Head of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine Rahim Babaiev and Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Organization of the Trade Union Oleksandr Rusnak.

At the center of the discussion were key issues of supporting veterans after their return to civilian life: employment, rehabilitation, and the development of the veteran movement. Participants shared experiences, approaches, and real-life cases that have already proven effective in practice.
In his speech, Rahim Babaiev noted that support for veterans must be systematic, comprehensive, and focused on the real needs of people returning from war. He emphasized the importance of creating effective employment mechanisms, ensuring access to quality rehabilitation, and actively involving veterans in public life and the trade union movement.

Oleksandr Rusnak, in turn, emphasized the practical results of international cooperation:
“We already have active and productive cooperation with Danish trade unions. This is not only an exchange of experience, but also real assistance to our veterans — support in preparing grant applications, legal assistance, and help with employment. And we plan to expand this cooperation further.”
Such meetings are not just a dialogue, but real steps toward systemic change and quality support for those who truly need it. Together, we are building a future for our veterans.
