At the initiative of Sofia Cherepanova, Deputy Head of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Defenders of Ukraine, another training session aimed at supporting mental health was held in the capital.
The training “Psychological First Aid: How to Help Yourself and Others in a Crisis” was designed to equip participants with basic skills for acting in situations of stress and uncertainty. The speaker was the author of the program, trade union member and experienced psychologist Anna Hrubaya.

During the session, participants worked through typical crisis situations: sudden panic reactions, freezing during an air-raid alert, intense emotional shock caused by news of shelling, or stress they had personally experienced. Special attention was given to practical tools for stabilizing one’s condition — both for oneself and for those nearby.
“By conducting this training, I was once again convinced that psychological support skills are needed by everyone today — both those on the front line and those living under constant pressure in civilian life. We cannot remove stress from our reality, but we can learn to act confidently within it. ‘Psychological First Aid’ is about simple, practical tools that help you breathe through anxiety, pull yourself together, and support others,” said Anna Hrubaya.
